If you were to listen to Junior’s mothers speech its the saddest thing you’ll ever hear in your life she pleads repeatedly, “take me, leave my son.” She also says that she had just spoken to him yesterday and he was joking around with her; he was in a great mood he even called her “homegirl.” Seau played for the Chargers, Dolphins, and Patriots. He recorded 545 tackles, 56 and 1/2 sacks, and 18 interceptions during his career. Dolphins CEO Mike Dee released a statement say,”Junior was one-of-a-kind. The league will never see anyone like him again,” and that’s the truth. Chargers President Dan Spanos said this,” He wasn’t just a football player, he was so much more. He was loved by everyone in our family, our organization and throughout the NFL. This is just such a tragic loss. One of the worst things I could ever imagine. My prayers go out to Junior’s family. It’s heartbreaking.” It is so hard for me to believe he is gone because I’ve seen him play before; many times live in person. I send my condolences to Junior and his family. We have truly lost someone great.
