Before Game 6 critics were questioning the ability of Lebron James and the Miami Heat and how they think that the Heat need to get rid of one of the Big 3, but as we know when you critize James and his team you bring out the Beast within him. James pulled off the greatest performance in nearly five decades. James recorded 45 points along with 15 rebounds and 5 assists. We haven’t seen numbers like these in a playoff game since the great Wilt Chamberlin about 50 years ago. James shot 19 of 26 from the court and was just short of his playoff high of 49 points. Stephen A Smith said it was the Best game he’s ever seen Lebron play as a Heat player.

Faced with elimination Heat forward James kept the Heat afloat and forced a critical Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals in The TD garden last night. James played 44 consecutive minutes, leaving the game with 3 minutes left when they secured the win. Dwyane Wade added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals even with what I considered a poor first half.

The Celtics really showed that they don;t have the stamina to keep up as their largest lead in the game was two points. That’s just embarrassing. If you have a chance to close out the series you have to capitalize yet that’s what the Celtics failed to do. The Celtics aren’t the only ones who had a poor performance; Mike Miller. Miller had countless number of wide open shots that he couldn’t get to fall same with Mario Chalmers. Bosh had a pretty poor performance on offense as he is trying to get back to 100% after his injury. Yet, Bosh lead Miami in block as he smacked away three balls.

Rondo had a decent game recording a double double just as Lebron did except not even close to his numbers. Rondo scored 21 points and dished out 10 assist. He also lead the Celtics in steals as he recorded three. Brandon Bass played a decent game I thought, scoring 12 points and leading the Celtics in rebounds as he brought down seven.

After the game during the Media session Miami Heat head coach Erik Spolstra had this to say on James performance,”He was absolutely fearless tonight, and it was contagious. The way he approached the last 48 hours, and not only LeBron, but everybody else. Nobody likes getting dirt thrown on your face before you’re even dead. He showed great resolve.” Then Wade said,”He played amazing. He was locked in from the beginning of the game like I’ve never seen him before.” This quote reinforces what Smith said on First Take this morning because Wade hasn’t even seen Lebron blow up like this. As my friends and I say he’s doin big things.

The do or die Game 7 is Saturday at 8:30 in Miami. Look for Miami to take this game and meet the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA finals just as I predicted in my school newspaper over a month ago.

Today at 3:30 pm est the Miami Heat will try and add the final blow to knock out the New York Knicks at the Garden. Miami has a 3-0 series lead on New York and look to sweep the series. The Heat know that they’re going to have to come out guns blazing if they want to win this one, because New York is going to give it their all, 110% because it will be the first time in the history of this rivalry that there will be a sweep. Now as we know Lebron, Wade and Bosh will be big key factors in today’s game if they plays like he did on Thursday, but look for James Jones, Mike Miller, and Udonis Haslem to come out strong for Miami also. When it comes to New York, Carmelo will be the big factor, if he can get going like he did during the regular season vs the Heat expect New York to pull away with the victory in tonight’s game. When Melo spoke to the press yesterday he said this,”Not winning at all, it hurts, I feel that, I go home at night, I think about that. But right now my focus is for tomorrow. Them three games is behind us, and tomorrow is all we’ve got.” He then went on to say,” It won’t sit well, if you get swept it’s embarrassing because you’ve come in and weren’t able to get one game from a team; so I definitely don’t want to go down like that. With all this talk from Melo I expect them to come away with a win tonight even though I’m a Heat fan. New York is going to show us something we have never seen from them before and I think it’s going to catch Miami by surprise. Amare Stoudemire is a game time decision, he had taken part in full practice yesterday so I think he will get some minutes tonight.
